Acceptable Use & Compliance Policy
Acceptable Use & Compliance Policy
What Kognarit may not be used for, how Kognarit reviews accounts, and what happens when abuse is found.
Last updated: September 2026
1. Who this applies to
This policy applies to every client account on the Kognarit platform and to anyone acting through it. It sits alongside the Terms of Service, the Privacy Policy and the Visitor Data Policy; where this policy is stricter about conduct, this policy applies.
Accepting the Terms of Service means accepting this policy. It applies for as long as the account exists, including while an account is paused.
2. Account creation is not verification
Signup is open. Creating an account does not mean Kognarit has verified the business, its identity, its ownership, or its right to operate. No statement on this website should be read as Kognarit vouching for a client.
The one-time setup fee is a commercial charge and part of the transaction record. It is not identity verification, and it is not a fraud guarantee.
3. Prohibited use
Kognarit must not be used for fraud, phishing, or impersonating another business, person or public body; for unlawful transactions; for distributing malware or malicious code; for offering illegal goods or services; for unauthorised access to systems or data; or for any other unlawful conduct.
Kognarit must not be used to collect personal data deceptively, or to collect it without the disclosure and consent the Visitor Data Policy requires. Configuring an assistant to misrepresent who the client is, or to claim an affiliation the client does not have, is prohibited.
4. Ongoing manual review
Kognarit carries out manual business and security review on an ongoing basis, after signup and throughout the relationship. Authorised Kognarit personnel may review account records where reasonably necessary for support, security, abuse prevention, fraud investigation, billing, service reliability or legitimate business verification.
This review is performed by people, case by case. Kognarit does not operate automated identity verification, automated KYC, or automated fraud detection, and does not read every conversation. Access is limited to what the specific purpose requires.
5. Independent verification
Where a client's legitimacy is unclear, Kognarit may seek to confirm it independently — including by reviewing the client's website and public business presence, checking the consistency of the information and material supplied, and contacting the business through official or publicly listed channels rather than only the contact details supplied by the account under review.
Kognarit may ask a client for information reasonably needed to resolve a concern. Refusing to engage with a legitimate verification request may itself lead to suspension.
6. Suspension during investigation
Kognarit may pause a client's service and API access while a suspected breach of this policy is investigated. A paused account keeps its data and can be restored; pausing is a precaution, not a finding.
Where the matter is resolved and the use is legitimate, service is restored. Kognarit aims to tell the client what is required to resolve it, so far as doing so does not prejudice an investigation or breach a legal obligation.
7. Termination for confirmed abuse
Where abuse, fraud, impersonation or unlawful use is confirmed, Kognarit may close the account. Closure disables access and revokes operational credentials permanently; it cannot be reversed into an active account.
Fees already paid are non-refundable in accordance with the Payment Policy. Closure does not release the client from obligations that survive the agreement.
8. Records and cooperation
Kognarit retains account, billing, usage, security and audit records after closure, as described in the Privacy Policy, and may preserve records relevant to a specific investigation, contractual dispute, accounting obligation or legal claim for as long as that purpose requires.
Kognarit may cooperate with competent authorities in response to lawful requests, in accordance with applicable law. Kognarit does not volunteer bulk access to client or visitor data and does not monitor conversations for law-enforcement purposes on its own initiative.
9. Reporting and changes
Suspected misuse of a Kognarit assistant can be reported to support@kognarit.com. Reports are reviewed manually.
Kognarit may update this policy as the service changes. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. The English version governs if translations differ.
This page is published in English, Georgian, and Russian. If the versions differ, the English version governs.
